| Post subject: | Adelaide: Should we become a club? |
As alot of you know ive been thinking about starting up a club here in adelaide, just wondering who would be in on it etc i was thinking something along the lines of Adelaide Datsun Club or Performance Datsuns Adelaide or something like that so it includes ALL dattos not just particular models etc... please post ideas and interest on here. -nick |

Hey nick, yeah thats a great idea im sure that a lot of datsun owners would agree that itd be good to form a club, i like the name Performance Adelaide Datsuns.. Just some feedback, a club would be great Matt |

yeah nitros a few of us are heaps keen to get something up and running.... I spoke to Shannon(aka Flubber) and after organising the last cruise he thought might wait to see the response and consistency of the numbers showin up before starting one. But I agree we would be able to start something quite easily with over 10 members in the beginning stages then grow from there.... PDA... performance datsuns of adelaide sounds like a good name though. I was looking into merchandise (ie. tshirts, hats etc...) and the lady told us that we wouldnt be able to use the Datsun logo due to copyright laws but we could use the general idea just put the club name in the middle if the circle rather then "datsun". See how the cruise goes tomorrow if its bigger then the first I think we should definatel get something goin... Cya there guys |

Hey guys, I don't like to be a dampener on the situation or question asked, but do you guys know what happened to the "Adelaide 1600 club" all the members went to "Sporting Car Club" because they offered more events etc.. Point two. I'm currently in another car club that has seen better days, lack of motivation and organisation has placed alot of the responsibility on one single individual. Im not saying that this will necessarily happen in this case but i think that getting a general census on the idea is an excellent start. Im not against the idea im all for it! i just think that we as a group need to looks into it more in terms of licenses/rights/memberships/cams/meetings/etc/etc. If you guys are interested i can organise a time to chat with the gentleman involved in the club im in at the moment and we can find out what really needs to happen to establish a successful car club Love the enthusiasm! P.S. PDA is good |

i totally agree with you flubber, thats why im not rushing in to it at the moment im just getting a general concensus about who would be interestred in doing something about it. Ill have to take to a couple of mates in Club PSi to see how they went about it. As for merchandise ill have to look in to that as well, it probably is a copyright... but anyways ill keep doing sum investigating on this

If my bluey is welcome, i'm in for sure. I missed the cruise but heard it was awesome, looking forward to hanging out with other datto-heads. PDA sounds good to me guys, keep up the good work. |

PDA has my vote im kind of down that i couldnt make it to the cruise im keen on getting into a club especially a datsun club id also be keen in helping out with the club Jason |

hey d00ds, im in!!! just a matter of working out all the pro's and cons with it all, i think that if we went ahead with it we should call it like "Adelaide Datsun Club" Or sumthing like that. Not only a 1600 club but general Datsuns. Should be great if we pulled it off.......................................  >cam

another thing i need to look at is getting in contact with CAMS so that we can arrange motorsport events legally etc, personally i like adelaide datsun club because it covers all datsuns, not just 1600s or performance dattos or stockers... been heaps busy with uni lately so ill see tomorrow or friday... |

Cams is something that should be definatly looked into, because then what happened to the adelaide 1600 club wont happen here. I think its at the stage where if we're all serious enough we should all get together and discuss ideas/schedualling/etc see what pples views are other than on here. Cheers |
