Hi guys, has anyone fitted an S13 space saver wheel/tyre to a Datsun (preferably 1600)? One has come up for sale cheap and I currently don't run a spare, could be a good solution just for emergencies.

Cheers

It's a real good idea.
Just make sure it fits over your brakes, both front and rear.

Yeah a mate of mine has an S13 one he wants to get rid of, only wants $10 for it, thought I'd ask anyway just in case. Stupid thing is I actually had one a few years back from a 180sx that I parted out, but I think I got $50 for it so I'll still be ahead 40 bucks

I have a couple of 4st space savers - I've never compared directly but I swear they'd be heavier than a stock steelie.

I run a space saver too. I'm not sure whether it was Silvia though. It was Nissan...

Space saver: perfect for getting more weight over the rear end :D Nice and low COG too!

It'll help offset the battery being to one side in the boot! When I bought the car it came with a 14" Nissan wheel + tyre, maybe from an Exa or ET Pulsar? Anyway it was too wide and jammed under the fuel tank overlap, took forever to get it out.
