Hey guys,

Just bought myself a cool little Datto 120Y!
What a fun car to drive with so much character.
Big change from the single turbo RZ Supra

Thought I would make an account and start using these forums.

First quick question anyway haha. After going through a fair few pages of wheel sizes/fitment etc on the 120Y and not being able to find exactly what I want I thought I would ask here.

Does the 120Y have the same guard gaps and struts etc as the 1200?
I have just picked up some 4x114.3 15" steelies (5.5" or 6" wide not sure) and they have 205/60 all around. They're only just too big for the rear and I havent tried the front yet. Everywhere I looked has said a 195/60r15 will fit but that is only for a 1200, would this be the same for the 120Y?

Thankyou

Can't say offhand, but on my 120Y I fitted 14x5 or 14x5.5 with 175s and they were a 'nice' fit. Could no doubt have gone bigger.

195/50s are the go.

I really want something with a bit of a bulge, a bit of sidewall.
I ended finding some spacers and had a quick test with an 8mm spacer on the rear and the 205/60 fit but scrubbed on the leaf around corners.
So I might go a 195/60 on the back and run a 5mm spacer and still have to measure the front but hopefully a 185/60 or 65 with the 8mm spacer on the front will go alright.
