when making up custom front struts what spring perches and tops can be used other than the std 1600 ones? i know of a stanza and a s2 bluebird at the wreckers and was wondering if i could rob the perches off either of them? i plan to use king springs front and rear. i want to keep my original struts and perches complete for now until im sure that the new ones work out ok.

If your going to change them why not go for a smaller spring coil diameter so you can get more camber up inside the strut towers.
Baz told me to use 310 Sunny perches years ago and with the right spring and perch height they allow more camber adjustment and save a little weight.

To answer your original question tho: i think 180B, 200B and 240k all have similar perches...

I was avoiding coilovers as im told they need engineering and cost alot more plus they attract unwanted attention. If it looks stock most pople dont look twice. interesting idea with the 1200 hardware looks stock but allows camber. Would have to look into it. I believe the sunny 1200 strut tubes are 45mm dia and the1600 ones are 51mm so would need to ope them up. Im sure there would be plenty of 1200 aftermarket springs around.
