Ok I have the Mazda brake upgrade on my 1600. And I have gone out and bought myself a set of 14" mags without even thinking of brake clearance. And now I've done some research, after buying them of course.... And from what i can find they won't fit.
Just wondering if this is true?
Thanks, luke

If it's series 4/5 RX-7 brakes then they more this likely won't. Expect to need 15" minimum wheels. Of course, depending on your 14s there's a chance they'll fit. Only way to find out is to try them on.

Hmm, might go pick them up and hope for the best than. Is there a minimum clearance needed for calipers or just as long as they miss??
Damn me for jumping before thinking!!

Well, as the actress said to the Bishop, if they miss by 1mm, they miss by 1mm!
By their very nature, an alloy wheel is much thicker than a pressed steel rim.
Therefore, a 14" alloy is not likely to clear whereas a 14" steelie might.

I did the Mazda brake conversion on 810 struts and it required 15" alloys.
