I'd pick 17's if i had to choose between the two.
Currently tho i got hubcaps and 13's for originality and comfort on SA's pothole ridden roads...

Take it from someone that has had 17's on a 1600, they are terrible!!! I wouldn't go bigger than 15's but that's just me ;)

checking prices for sport low profile tyres for 17s are super cheap even compared to low profile 13 inchers
also when you get to these sizes the bigger rims are much heavier with the same final diameter as 15 inch
wheels and rims from the old school days. EG. 15 inch JDM wheels weigh halve of cheap taiwan/china crap.

I have 17" rim and I don't recommend them. I am looking around for a 15" or 16" (maybe) set. With a minimum of 50 series rubber.
The handling on 17" is absolutely appalling and you won't get big enough profile on the tires or enough bag to have it handle well.
They look good, but personally, i like 16" for combination of looks and handling. 15" for handling to fit over my brakes.

Would be awesome to have small diameter thick and vented brake rotor with big four spots to fit 14s or 15s
most brakes are too big in diameter these days.

15" on a 1600. Max 16"

Tyres are cheaper on the 15's and they look fantastic :) I might be biased though...

Only in the rear though ;-)

Personally 13 14 or 15 inch rims X 6 wide. 14 are Crap for tyre choice though.

14x7 fronts

14x8 rears

Unfortunately tyre choice is limited if non existent, and brake options become an issue to. But they just look so good.

185s and 195s are still easy enough to find in 14 inch tyres, I've never had a problem anyway, and the price isn't too bad. 13s aren't too hard either, 175, 185, 195 and 205 are still available new in a few profiles also at a reasonable price. On a Datsun 13s, 14s or 15s still get my vote any day!

Hi guys, hope this is the correct section for this post. If any of you could tell me what size/width/offset these rims are that would be great. I have a 1600 and these rims just look perfect the way they fit (in my opinion). im pretty sure they are ROTA wheels. or the build to this car.
Much appreciated.
