I'm running 200B castor rods with enough thread turned on it for adjustment. Makes them adjustable to some extent. |

Just got a reply from MCA in regards to their kits for the 510s. While not being "bolt on" in the strictest sense, they've done up more than one kit  Costs that I got: Blue: 2000 X: 2500 Red: 3100 Gst inclusive (plus freight). For an extra $150, Stub axels can be fabricated onto the chosen suspension. |

I have just sourced some R31 struts and some old S13 used JIC coilovers, the plan is to mock a complete unit up for as cheap as possible, by using the threaded sleeve of the S13 coilover, and weld that to the R31 strut, as well as using the S13 camber tops. Seeing as I've paid $50 for the complete R31 setup including brakes, and another $50 for the coilovers, a bit of grinding and welding on the struts to remove the spring perch, and maybe some lathe time to get the camber top to match the shock insert thread, and I'll have a complete unit. The main issue I forsee will be the wrong spring rate and length of the S13 coilover springs causing too rough a ride. The JIC coilovers even have helper springs. But it's very much a budget build to see if its possible. I'm not even sure if the camber top bolt PCD is the same between S13 and 1600 yet. Am I right in thinking the base of the R31 strut also needs a spacer collar to match the 1600 steering arm? |

Another idea was to use a strut collar and no threaded sleeve to get the desired ride height, move it up and down until satisfied and lay a few spot welds on it to hold it in place. |
