You're seeing diff oil temps of 65c?
The oil is only just starting to get "loose"
It can handle 150c. before it breaks down.
The foaming out the breather, tap a larger diam thread into cover, screw in a larger barbed fitting, and run a flex line straight up into boot, into a seperator/breather can, vent that to the fuel filler hatch recess so the smell is gone.
Alesser variant, a short bit of hose out the breather, into a cheapo $2 clear Ryco type plastic fuel filter, but keep it upright to allow drainback.
Only time we saw very high temps was in long distance dirt rallies in a 260Z, the std cover was welded, milled drilled and tapped for dash fittings to an oil cooler, pump was a Jabsco Water Puppy, and cooler, all protected by mesh guards, up above halfshafts and next to wheel well on rhs.
Manually switched on by navigator, once temp guage hit 100deg or so, the pump would not flow below 60 due to viscosity.
In circuit racing ( not 6-8 lap sprints) have run 25 lap events, with no coolers/finned covers, and no issues with heat or breakdown of oil.
Diff is set at 140 lbs breakaway, car does 1.55's at PI and Eastern Ck,( 25 lap races there)
Bit of a wank factor these finned covers, they keep latent heat in the oil, due to higher volume.
