Hey
been looking on here for a while and just decided to join up.

Ive tried searching here, google and a few other places without much luck.

Id like to see a build up of a 200b with a 1jz or 2jz twin turbo engine installed.
Not interested in seeing Z's because theyre completely different size wise.

Also can anyone confirm the 1jz has 210kw and the 2jz only has 206kw?
Cant get my head around how a 3 litre has less power than a 2.5L

How do they fit in the engine bay for size?
im thinking it will be a tight squeeze but could always put the radiator and battery in the boot and relocate washer bottle etc.

Already upgraded the diff to an R31,will be running maddat coilover and bigger discs on the front

Using the gearbox that comes with the motor, obviously custom tailshaft

Custom fuel lines,pump,reg,catch can,surge tank.

Standalone ECU seems the go for less wiring hassles

Alloy radiator or will the standard one do?

Engine mounts wont be too hard to fabricate up I don't think just depends where I want the motor to sit.

im guessing the trans tunnel needs cutting out and widening, making taller?

Is there much difference between gearbox sizes from the auto to the R154 manual? Im planning to start with nan auto as the manuals see hard to find.

Any other info is greatly appreciated.
I do not want an SR or CA or RB etc

Thanks

I'm not a Toyota person by any means, what you do with your car is your choice lol.
With regards to power output if Toyota were anything like Nissan they would have fudged the output figures of their engines so they were below the jdm limit of 206kw. From what I have read the 2jz is one of the best production engines to do up and there is never a substitute to more capacity.

yeah advertised power is not the actual output. same with the RB, both RB25det and RB26dett are advertised as 206kw.
As with fitment trans tunnel and nose cone will need cutting, 1J's are a pretty long motor and 200b's engine bays arnt all that big. how come you want to go down this path? a built SR will give way more power than you'll need in a 200b, be lighter, and you'll have everyones mistakes to learn off as its been done before?

Yeah Sr isw boring lol
seen a few at summernats and wasn't want I want.
More power for less money in the long run.
Its not a daily driver.
Will be freshening the engine before it goes in with stronger internals, headwork including big cams, high flow exhaust, bigger fuel rail and injectors, intake etc
Aiming to have a bullshit fast car for 1/4 mile and burnouts.

Purchased a 1jzgte last night.Complete motor,gearbox,tailshaft,ecu,harness,igniter for $1200 so was pretty happy.

Looking to have it in by Brasher nats.

Think its a good time to shorten the diff and tub it aswell I guess to get some power to the ground. If it stands on the spot with the L20B it definitely wont move off the line with a twin turbo in it haha
