Hey Guys,

I've been lurking for awhile now, just reading up ETC. I've come abit of a way with the BB since getting it a few weeks ago.

So to start - this is how I brought it, with a two holes in the block, the gudgeon pin stuck in the crank, and half a piston floating around in the sump!

So far I've changed the block, cleaned up the carbie, replaced a few hoses ETC, and installed a SV22 Camry Radiator :)

So with the block, I've had to use a oil relocation kit to get the filter on, as the block I braught didn't have the casts in the block to use the oil "bend" adapter that the original block had on it.
SO... I've been told that motor MAY be too old for the car, its a 1981 BB, how would I tell the age of the motor. It needs to be newer than the car apparently.

I'm uploading some more progress pics as we speak :)

Engine should not be an issue as long as you use the original carby and emissions gear.

Yea, that's what I thought, same block number L20B ETC, but the engine MAY be out of an older car. Someone on here said it may not be... I think they are wrong. lol.
