Can someone please confirm that adjustment here will raise or lower the ride height?

You need two C spanners to do it properly

Looks like you dont have much travel left till you bottom out on the bump stop but it may have slid down the shock tube and just be the angle the pic was taken at. Keep an eye on this tho...

You should only lower the spring to the point that it is fully captive & not loose.
All adjustable platforms should not be adjusted to the point that the spring can be moved
up from the platform when front wheel are of the ground.
Any slop in the springs will reduce the handling capability of the car.
The stabiliser bar will become ineffective.
If you want to go lower then the inserts & springs should be changed.
The struts you have pictured are now not made as the trend has gone to lower ride height.
All our struts can be easily converted to much lower ride heights.

Hey Baz, what is your recommendation to convert the strut to lower ride height?

We use a shorter insert with a machined spacer which is mounted on the top of the insert.
This reduces the droop height & ensures that the shock will not bottom out.
This keeps the shock operating closer to the centre of the stroke.
The reduction in droop allows the use of a shorter spring & keeps it fully captive.

Trents struts are an example of this.

We also have a standard insert of the same length as the adjustable insert in the 280R set up.

Any of the short struts ( including R31 )we have produced over the last 5 years can be converted
by changing the spring, insert & bump stop.
Will need our machined top spacer & if our camber tops are
fitted, a new bearing standoff is required.

Gotcha. I'm running Koni inserts, but your logic makes sense (keeping the shock operating closer to the centre of the stroke)
Good to hear that customers who bought your gear many moons ago (including me for that matter) can retro-fit with minimal expenditure.
Certainly no complaints from Trent either.
