Is anyone selling rear backing plates from a R31? My brothers converting his 200b to rear disc

They bob up on ebay now and then.
However, it may be more convenient to make some up from plate.
The drum backing plate has 4 nicely spaced holes for a caliper plate.
Lateral position is easily adjusted using shims and radial positioning would be the same as the R31 if you intend to use R31 rear discs.

Just by way of example, here is a mockup I have done to fit 200B discs and calipers to the B120 front strut which normally is a drum brake setup:-

The backing plate comes off and this caliper mount goes on.

You can see the 3mm shim between the caliper bracket and the caliper which is required to centre the caliper over the rotor.

Converting drum brakes to disc is a dream job compared to upgrading an already disc brake.
The caliper mounts will nearly always require a lot of jiggling to get right.
