I work for a engineering company and have been toying with the idea of making a universal intake manifold in a similar style as what Audi uses on its R8 and rally cars.
These are designed to allow even air flow into all cylinders . It will be universal as the runner design will be up to the customer to sort out and the plenum will have a number of different orientations. They would be made from cast aluminium.
At the moment we are putting feelers out to see if there is a market for these. Let me know what you think and what sort of money you would be willing to pay for something like this.
