I finally got in touch with the original owner of my 1600. He was very happy to hear about the car and wants to buy it back now haha Its all good news :)

2.4L stroker, built by Stuart Wilkins Racing (built to works racing specs?)
Twin 48mm webers
Massively Ported head
Big valves
240k 5 speed
Button Clutch
4.4 r180 (welded unfortunatly)
r31 calipers
Adjustable struts
75hp NOS system
Originally made 175hp at the wheels apparently
Now makes 145hp, probably a bit worn, was built 12 years ago and freshened up 8 years ago. Or it has a problem I need to chase haha

All in all, I'm very happy with what I paid for now! will be a fun car when she's registered.

Cheers,
Jimmy

175hp at the wheels
Wow

I bet you have no trouble spinning those wheels with the 4.8

Nad, it's got 145hp at the wheels now, still plenty. Pulls really hard. Does break traction easily. It's pretty hard to drive in the wet actually, need to get rid of the button clutch and go to 3.9 I think. But all up I paid less for the car then the engine build, so I'm pretty happy :)
