Post subject:  Bay to Birdwood Classic Rally 2015
Took part in the Bay to Birdwood CLASSIC 2015 rally on Sunday the 27th September.
It was open for all vehicles manufactured between 1956 and December 1978, in substantially original condition.

Teamed up with my lifelong friend Murray with his 1977 Mercedes 350 on what turned out to a simply perfect day weather wise: -

It was my second rally and the classics are run every 2 years, with pre 1956 vehicles on the intervening years.

1750 vehicles took part in the Rally which, according to the list of entries, included 1 x 1968 SR311, 1 x 1965 SP311 and my 1965 SP310.

Weather was clear, sunny and 24deg C with crawling traffic :roll: :roll: :roll:
My modifications to the cooling system performed perfectly, no overheating and only a few seconds of vapour lock.

All in all a magic day and car performed faultlessly :D :D

Real seat of the pants stuff!

Still needs some interior work to finish it off.

Lot's of compliments from the public and some new Roadster friends wanting to form an Adelaide club :thumbsup:
