Hi guys,

I have a Girlock master cylinder on the car at present but it seems near impossible to get a replacement with the brake line outlets on the left hand side of the master cylinder body. All the replacement bodies I come across have brake lines attached underneath.

Any suggestions?

I tried honing out the dodgy piston/bore in the set-up but no go. I was going to buy a rebuild kit but it seemed cheaper buying the whole master cylinder ... well, it did until I got quoted $330 for the right cylinder!

You can get the original M/C bored and sleeved with a stainless steel sleeve.
That way the cylinder will last "forever" and the standard rebuild kit will apply :)

Thanks Graeme.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll go and do that.
