So what's with the lack of any real activity on Ozdat these days?
Really only seems like there is 5-10 people who really visit the forums anymore?
There used to be a heap of active members a few years back, but now it seems dead?
Are people moving to Facebook ? Honesty hate Facebook, so I try to avoid it if possible!

Facebook. Instant gratification. But really good information is gone a few days later.

I still visit the forums on a regular basis, but don't really post.
Ozdat has all the info required in old topics, you just need to search.

I probably visit a couple of times a day. I may not post much but this forum is a ridiculously invaluable place to get information on Datsuns. So much stuff is in the archives I often find the answer to questions there so I don't need to post that much.

I love the build threads and enjoy looking at them.

I'm not a big fan of facebook, I find it's extensive advertising and click-baiting immensely irritating so I would rather check stuff out here

Yea I def still visit the site a lot and try to be as active as possible and provide information and responses where I can.
Facebook is ok for info, but it just doesn't feel like a community to me. And plus when I go on Facebook you do get bombarded with irrelevant crap.

I'm currently stuck in a dusty sh*t hole in the Middle East at the moment but I can't wait to get back to Aus and start working on my car and make a build thread on here. Even though it will be your typical SR conversion.

I've been visiting the forum regularly to get info and putting it into my notebook.

I wonder if you made a FB page for the website, that would give you alerts as to when a new post is made here with a link to the thread. It might attract more people to visit the forum.

I see a lot of good info on Facebook and a lot of parts that pop up for sale but then they just get buried amongst all the other crap.

I still get on here every day. The forum isn't as busy as it used to be but thanks to Facebook there are no more shitfights or arguments or anything, it is pretty much all technical talk or build threads. I think all forums have slowed down since Facebook came along but the serious ones stay on forums and the ones who want to look cool with their cars head for Facebook. As many others have stated the forum is an invaluable source of information.

I do miss the busy days of a few years back though. What we need is another Big ShaunO to come along and liven things up a bit...

Green200B is spot on. The quality is certainly better. Also like Dave said instant gratification on Facebook. Plus all your interests in one place.
I prefer forums because you get less off the "what's my crap car worth" "how dare you say my crap car isnt worth $100,0000" "is my car rare because it has odd seats" oh and pictures of dogs and babies that arent car related at all on car pages.

Another Big Shauno would liven things up for sure.

Yeah i'm still here. Once I "finished" building my car, i found I had little to post about. But i'm trying to be as active as I can, showing all the next "little bits" that i've been doing. Honestly, i agree that the community feel with the forum is where it's at. Facebook is just too quick, you miss journey you get with people's cars on here. I love Ozdat for that.
Also, the amount of information here is unreal!
You guy's who still kick on here, you're awesome!

I visit but don't post much at all. Unfortunately I've become a bit selective of info I put up anymore especially build threads.

Love ozdat for all the info too

Ps having a crap phone didn't help but it broke so another $89 prepaid to the rescue

Facebook for sure. Personally I still love forums and spend a lot of time reading them when I have the time, which these days is sadly a very rare occurrence.
