I still have a look here every week. Don't post because I can't progress on my SSS until I get a place to work on it but I'm still doing bits toward it when I can. Recently scored some Keihin LPG vapour injectors and a convertor to suit. You blokes help keep the enthusiasm burning......

I still check out what's going on here. Remove the occasional spambot.
I would really like to get the Ozdat Facebook page setup to compliment this site. I haven't quite figured out the best way (and neither has Craig for that matter!) and definitely open to suggestions.
The difficulty is not knowing how to link the two sites effectively without doing it manually.
(copy and paste the 'view new posts' for example)

Yep still on here as much as I can be and keep my build thread updated. It's a great forum full of good info would be a shame for it to die completely.

I still love this site, some great information and keen to keep it going. I'm not a fan of facebook for these types if things however I probably have to grow to like it :)

hmm, I need to update my build thread.

Yeah, its facebook groups that people have gone to now, instead of forums. So many Datsun facebook groups. But like Dave says, its all gone in a day. Try finding something you saw last week in a facebook group.

Also the fragmentation into specialist forums or facebook groups (eg for Zedz 1200s, 1600s, etc) means people can get their fix of Datsun content from the particular type of Datsun they are most into.

Ozdat is still fairly active compared to some other Aussie Datsun forums.

And last but not least there are less and less Datsuns around every year. I just found out the Datsun Super Six I saved from the crusher 10 years ago, ended up going to the crusher (or at least pretty certain It did - photo of it on the back of a scrap metal truck with another car on its roof), after passing through a few owners after me.

As long as James is happy to host the site, I'm happy to keep the gears oiled and everything running smoothly.

And if you happen to have a conversation about Datsuns in real life or on the internet, tell them about this great little Datsun forum you know of that's been on the internet since the 1990s.

 reading that made me laugh!

I agree with you that there are a lot fewer Datsuns around now, which stands to reason as they are all getting older and older. As well as this they are getting more and more expensive to buy and repair, and while I'm not saying that that is the only reason people like Datsuns, it would certainly convince a few to look at other automotive options.

I think this thread shows that there are still a number of active members, not what there used to be but still enough. So while this site is kept running, I am happy to keep posting

I will admit I experimented with the Facebook page's. Great to buy and sell stuff but no way to recall info easily or at all.
I am off it now. Got more important stuff in life to do.

We could have our own version of the game- meet someone in real life and figure out whether you know them from Ozdat. I met Alistair the other week.....

You have to watch Alistair. He will invite you to a log cabin in the woods next thing you know your been carted into the bush in an old Hilux.
Well that's how I like to spend my weekends anyway.
If it wasnt for Ozdat id miss Miks constant bum sex jokes.
