Looks like an R180 diff, but you can confirm by measuring the distance in the attached photo. Does the engineer need to know what springs and shocks you are using? Also is that a side pipe exhaust? Attachment:

Thanks for the reply. It measures 170mm. The engineer has told me that with my z18et motor, I will need brake and suspension upgrade. It would be good to know so I can tell him, and plus so I can install the correct disc brakes for the rear. I have girlock discs on the front, and 4 x 114 studs. I was thinking of just telling him it has 200b struts etc to get me through if I couldn't work out what I had. And yes that is a side pipe lol, its on the list to be changed... |

The springs / shocks / diff won't matter as far as installing rear discs. There is no "correct" disc setup, just go for the usual R31 conversion (R31 skyline discs / calipers mounted on a slightly modified R31 caliper bracket and modified or custom handbrake cables). Something like this http://datsport.com/R31rear_disc_brake_ ... ion_C.html |

Get a picture of the front and rear calipers with the wheels off. It most likely has R31 rears. I got my old Z18 1600 engineered with drum brake rear and 200b front struts (girlock calipers). |
