I found that it motavated me to do something when people asked "how is the project going" so if enough of us ask, we should have it on the road in no time |

That's nothing mate. Even for yourself learning how to do it. Check out the rust repairs i did on my thread for some inspiration... I was 22 when I did them and i knew nothing about it. Learnt as i went. It was invaluable! Get your welder. Check out YouTube and make yourself a small sheet metal folder (i made my first one out of scrap steel and some h/d bearing based door hinges) for some fold work. A dolly or two. Hammer. Welding clamps. Ask plenty of questions! |

Small bit of progress today, cut open right hand sill panel, removing rusty metal. I have a dogleg made by APC, and I'll fabricate the patch to fill the rest of the hole. I made a patch today, but I'm not happy with it and I'll have another go at the folds. Inside the sill is in pretty good condition.

Yup. Me too. Just resize your photos and upload them straight into the Ozdat server. That's what i do. A bit more time consuming but at least it makes it easy for everyone else. |

Thanks Mr Camo, photobucket seems to be working again now. Things escalated quickly from a small sill patch to replace the whole thing. I splashed out and bought new sills from muscle car parts in Moorebank. I spent the weekend trimming out the old rhs sill. The bulk came off easy, but bottom of each pillar was very time comsuming. I ran out of time and patience today, I haven't got the new sill sitting in flush yet, it seems to be fouling on something in the A pillar. Has anyone else fitted these sills? I'd be interested to see how they turned out.

Car is in the hands of professionals now to finish the bodywork. Work in progress : new outer sills and dog legs, repaired left side inner sill, new rear beaver, number plate panel, boot drop offs, boot gutter. Lots of little patch repairs to the doors.
