Hey RJB510, not sure what type of seal it is, i would of thought just a regular rubber seal, well i hope so

thx for advice on buying a welder and doing it myself but i don't do metal, i can do electrical most standard mechanical stuff and even upholstery but have not done well with using a welder, also don't have the place to do it.

the good points as well is the panel shop is just around the corner from my mechanics and he will let me use one of his work bays to strip the lights out, take the boot off and have some one come there to take out the rear window and store it until it is fixed

am also going to ask the guys from Sydney Datsun Club if some one wants to earn a few bucks and help me doit even if it is a bit at a time or if any one else is interested i am happy to meet up, i am based in Penrith and don't mind driving to far.

have had a productive few weeks, all fuel lines changed, dash back in and working fine, added a tacho on the steering column also a kill switch, recovered the rear parcel shelf and changed the oil pressure switch,

just need a new stereo and will put the centre console back in
