That device is your actual "liquid vapour separator" It actually sits across the fuel supply and return lines to remove any vapour from the supply to the carburettor float valve. Attachment:
You could probably temporarily connect the supply and return lines straight to their respective rigid lines to bypass him Unless you are in a really hot climate I doubt that vapour lock would be a problem for you |

Hey Nissanman, was thinking about this all day and was just about to say, why do i even need this and the answer is Vapour lock, thank you It actually sits across the fuel supply and return lines to remove any vapour from the supply to the carburettor float valve. Attachment: 28052017227.jpg
You could probably temporarily connect the supply and return lines straight to their respective rigid lines to bypass him Unless you are in a really hot climate I doubt that vapour lock would be a problem for you so i could buy pass this as you said put the respective hoses to the right flows, e.g.: purge back to tank and incoming line to carby, will also add a fuel filter between these two, I live in Sydney and yes we do get some hot days but i suppose time will tell if i even get an effect of vapour lock at all also looks like new rubber fuel lines every were as they are all cracking, lucky it broke in my driveway thanks again, loving this forum every one is super helpful |

all done and fixed, just need to do the 2 fuel lines under the air filter and will check the ones near the fuel pump and thats all the fuel lines done I also got a set of coolant hose's will put them on in a couple of weeks, just need to get the 2 heater hose's that go through the fire wall, finding them a bit harder to get also the oil pressure switch was leaking so put a new one in, that should be the last of the oil leaks been driving it around more often and have found that it is running better every time, Cheers Norm |

I wonder how it works? It looks like there are three hoses going into it? Must just be a gravity type thing where the bubbles float to the top and go through the return line? |
