| Post subject: | 720 Pickup - What Type Alternator |
Anyone know the model of the generator that should be on this truck ? If there is a model number on the part, where exactly should it be? Couldn't find one with the alternator still attached. Also, what would be the output for the alternator? Lastly, it has only one major pole which which has a bolted lead to the battery. Next to that is a plastic, L shaped plug with two wires, and it plugs into the generator at a point next to the bolt. Anybody know where those wires go, and if the generator appears to be a stock part? Thanks again, G2L |

Depends on the engine, but the L and Z series uses a mitsubishi or a hitachi alternator. 50A. Don't know about the J engine and the diesel. The two wires for the L shaped plug is called L and S, L connects to the charge light on the dash, the S is the signal wire and connects to the battery |
