i have a garret t17 turbo pulled from a saab 9-3 that I want to put in my 180b. whats everyones thoughts and can I have help finding links to parts required to make this happen. will I need a custom fabbed manifold or is there somewhere that sells them? and what would be a good carb to use? pretty much want to be able to purchase majority of the parts my self then have some mechanic mates help slap it all together. many thanks |

Pretty much need a custom manifold, you sometimes see cheap 2nd hand ones pop up for sale but not often. As to what else is needed /what carab, first question to answer would be whether you want a draw through setup (carb --> turbo --> engine) or blow through (turbo --> carb --> engine). |

Pretty much need a custom manifold, you sometimes see cheap 2nd hand ones pop up for sale but not often.
I think id like to do a blow through setup. apparently they are easier to setup and work with aswell?
As to what else is needed /what carab, first question to answer would be whether you want a draw through setup (carb --> turbo --> engine) or blow through (turbo --> carb --> engine). |

Suck through with a dirty big Su on the front with a J pipe exhaust manifold set up would be cheapest and easiest. No intercooler needed. |

Google away draw through or suck through turbo Lseries or similar. Its all been done before, or hit the search button on this site. Its on here too. |
