Overarching concept: normal face-to-face behaviour.

Before posting on the forums you should re-read your post and see if what you have said is something you would feel comfortable saying to somebodies face if they were standing next to you.

Very few people are rude in person - lets extend that to here.

Rules:

1. Abusive comments - don't.
2. Searching before posting - do.
3. Accepting someone elses point of view - do.
4. Post in the appropriate section - do.
5. Thread hi-jacking - try not to.
6. Naming threads indicative of topic - do.
7. Dealing with private problems with other forum users (such as avatar issues) via PM first - do.
8. Post in the Forum suggestions forum and/or start a poll for resolution by the masses if rule 7 is unsuccessful.
9. Use as proper grammar and punctuation as you are capable of. Please.
10 Racist comments - don't.

Penalties:

Users are given two chances.

First and second offences: deletion/editting of offending material and warning
Third offence: ban.

Note: all warnings will be private; all bans will be public.

That is a fair gesture Dave totally in agreence with you... this a public forum what is said must be treated as it was in public.

I feel people listing stuff in the classifieds, should state where they are in the title aswell.

Ie: for sale extractors Canberra

So if you are over east, you don't waste time looking at it.

Hey guys,

Just added another rule/guideline. This one should be rather implicit IMHO, but I think its becoming necessary.

If anyone notices anybody in this forum doing anything like the above in the first post, can they please contact the moderators ASAP.
The Standards of this forum are slipping.

Richard, the forum exists because of people asking questions and information sharing.
There is no such thing as a stupid question. I remember asking what IIRC (If I Remember Correctly) stood for and a heap of other acronyms and it was answered. Don't be afraid and ask away. Just make sure it's in the right thread/post :D
