sick of working on cars yet? didn't think so.
once your current project is finally finished, what's next? who's got a dozen cars laying around that they're " gunna " rebuild?
i think my tribal name is " gunnaoneday " because just as soon as i finish building up my XC falcon workute the girlfriends EA falcon needs panel & paint, then i have a type 3 VW wagon to finish ( i haven't touched it in 5 years ), then the WB 1 tonner gets a makeover so i can flog that off, THEN maybe i might have enough parts & cash to make a start on the 180b.
but who knows what might pop up between now & then.......

OK who's next????

In the never ending saga of my cars I need to upgrade the gearbox in my skyline and finally fit the vernier cam wheels and retune it.....that is after I replace the rin that I damaged after a drift went bad.

Then my old gearbox is going into my missus R31 when I convert her car to manual. There there is an engine conversion for it aswell as a respray. Then the pontiac needs a body resto and I wanna rebild the 350 and possibly add a vorteck supercharger or something like that.....then the airbag suspension that I have started working on will get done too.

as well as fitting an A15 into the 120y and upgrading the brakes....

And fixing mum's and sisters cars whenever they thing something is wrong with them.

that is a list!!!!

Hmmmmm,
my next project is to build a rear disc brake conversion for the 510, with VENTILATED rotors and INTEGRAL drum handbrake .

It is progressing very nicely thank you

Oh, I'm also building a QUAD THROTTLE BODY setup for my N/A FJ20DE which is nearly there 8)

I am also a "gunna", like most of the people in my family.

The 180BSSS project started in 1998. My old man set about searching for a 180BSSS, which would be in some sort of condition to restore. Finally in 2000, one was found in Northern Wollongong. With dodgey trasport rego filed, the car was driven back to Condobolin (~550k's away). Young Fr3aK was eager to play with Daddy's project car, and because it was "gunna" get rebuilt, decided to thrash it at a mates farm. Fun which lasted all day. It survived and went out the back.
2 more 180BSSS's found their way into this yard, all of which share the same fate. To sit there until someone is "gunna" fix 'em up.

FINALLY in 2004, bigger Fr3aK decides to build a drift car, which older Daddy gets to do clubsprints in. Throughout this year parts are accumilated and transported to the Condo house.

In 2005 the car still hasn't driven, but i'm "gunna" finish it one day. It seems that this will be the year that the car gets finished...

I've also failed to mention that my Dad 'gave up' restoring one and bought a fully restored 180BSSS, cheater. It's nice though, and i get all of the other 180's and the respective spare parts stockpiled over the years too. When i finally get this one finshed, i'm gunna do up one of the other ones too. I swear

CCFL light conversion for the interior
Upgraded wiring for the lights
Getting around to getting the windows tinted
Making up new door trims
Retrimming the roof
Sanding my new bonnet and painting it then installing it
Removing all the rust and getting new glass for the tint.

Finishing off my 1/10 scale RC methoanl 4wd beast
Finishing off my monster RC plane
Finishing off my RC destroyer

And i wanna 200B SSS to fully restore, so theres another 'gonnado' jobs. The only thing really stopping me with everything is lack of money

Oh and i gotta strip my S1 bluey down still... Gonnado it one day...

180B SSS - needs restoring

1600 - needs restoring

1600 - needs restoring

'55 BMW 250cc bike - needs restoring

'56 BMW 250cc bike - needs restoring

'36 Ariel 500cc bike - needs restoring

'48 Velocette 350cc bike - needs restoring

'54 BSA 250cc bike - you'll never guess - yep, needs restoring

'87 Magna (second car) - needs fixing for rego in Feb after a minor altercation with a bus.

Main bedroom ensuite - gutted after a water leak 3 years ago - still needs restoring, plus need to fix the gyprock ceiling in the kitchen (below the gutted ensuite) after some idiot slipped off a floor joist in the ensuite and put his foot through the gyprock ceiling below. Could have been worse - I could have slipped with one leg either side of the joist

Garage - needs final textured granosite coating applied. But hey, its useable to work on the Datsun.

Yard - needs finishing

Driveway - needs doing

Thats about it, I think. So far from this list, I've started restoring the 180B SSS.

You have to start somewhere

Still well into my 1600 race car. Am just saving the bickies for the rear brake and suspension stuff at the moment.

Next project after that will be (after I lose the extra weight I put on when I stopped smoking) learning how to drive that quickly and not hit anything.

Then it'll be the road car... Another 1600... I have been officially bitten by the Datto bug.

As for cars lying around... There's a place not far from me, called Youanmite. a real blink and you miss it place. There's a place there's got at least 14 cars lying around in various states of disarray.

Gah sean you bugger, now you're tempting me again. I'm in the process of moving house so I'll have a garage big enough to fit the datto stuff in. Dont make me go find a double garage.... ;)

My list seems to change every year, but the goal remains the same, own datsun of some description with tuff fj20 that is in very good condition.

At the moment i have 99.9% completed my 180bsss fj20et. Only thing holding it back is some auto electricians that need to find me a compatible ignition module for my microtech for it to be completed  .

(Hopefully it will start tomorrow!! and yes, I have been saying those words since around the 17th of december last year!)

Next project? probably a gazelle (hatchback) with a CA18DET (Possibly FJ20). Cant leave the datsuns, I have to many spares!
