um was driving through to morley today via walter road west... and just passing a place called AGI auto parts and having a bit of a geeze in there parking lot i saw a stocko silvia a patrol then right at the end of the three a f*&^ing datsun 1600 that had been converted to a ute.....

yes this is no mistake as i did a uee and drove straight in to the place... drove past a 2km/h just staring...she was green looked an immaculate paint job with no dings or dents or rust... had panasports on it had the datsun 1600 guard badges all nice new chrome with a sticker on the back saying *turbo datto*.. this thing was immaculate... im gonna go back and get pics and post them..

u guys probz got a image in ur head of the one in ozdat galleries...

but this looked nothing the same twas cut on an angle similar to a subaru brumby.... had a canvas cover and a tilt tray and all...

IMO it looked ugly but i lovee it..

has anyone else seen it or kno the guy or have info on it

yeah i seen it, seen it in the "uterus" stage before it is all pretty.
14k is a bit rich though. but the will undoubtedly be someone out there willing to pay the a$king price.
FWIW the only way to make a ute is to cut and shut and FILL a wagon.

Yes it was a wagon.
Infused with the rear window of a sedan.

Bloke who did the work, was a coach builder in the UK.
Lucky he was, as it was a quite difficult process, as the rear C pillar on a sedan is heaps wider than wagon rear pannel.

I have pics somewhere, running late for work right now, but will post link later today.
