I think im the biggest fan of the 1600 up here
Hmmmmm I think I would be giving you a run for your money there lol ,as the 510 addication has got me bad  I am only up here for a bit, and unfortunately had to leave my babies in Vic, but I have been a lover and owner of 1600's since I was 11yo................ Where are you on the Coast? |

and yet another 910 refugee, i have a series 1 gx/trx (hence the name mistergTRx) pretty much stock, slowly building it up, so far ive done the manual conversion, twin 1 3/4 su's, extractors and a stereo loud enough to set off alarms (my car goes boom boom, more than it does vroom vroom  )

I wish you guys would specify what suburb you're in in Brisbane, GC, SSC etc, make it easier for you to organise cruises. P**ses me off when people list things on eBay and just say Brisbane...like there isn't a few hundred suburbs there. I'm in Booyal, bout 1hr west of Bundaberg (Rum City). Few hours north of North Brisbane. |

Joel, Narangba, 610 SSS ![[ img ]](http://members.iinet.net.au/~joel_amy/Joel/Images/Cars/THE%20BLUEBIRD/BURUBADO/29.03.10/Image0582.jpg) Not keen on cruising or anything, I don't want any negative attention. But I do attend a couple of shows a year (first show for this car should be CJSS10) and I am planning on going to lakeside every now and then seeing as it takes 7 minutes to drive there from my house.... I'm wary that the nostalgic japanese style of car can be a tempting target to police and I hate to be labeled with the hoon brush, so I tend not to drive my cars much. I hope that one day they will be seen in the same light as hot rods are now so I can enjoy my cars a lot more. I do understand why I would be targeted, I stand out a lot more than a standard commodore, even when it's the commodore that's doing skids up and down my street and I'm just driving to the shops to get some bread and milk. datto <3 |

Cruising only gets negative attention when someone drops a skid or something stupid. And if anyone does, I stop, turn around, and go home. Haha that near-hi-vis orange does that...looks bloody sweet though! |

I used to get pulled up & harrased 95% of the time they saw me driving my 1600 through town,when driving completely sensible  they just see older cars as being a easy target

Hi all, I live in Morayfield and have just bought a 72 1600 sedan after looking for many years. I love Dattos and i look forward to finally being able to sink my teeth into modding this puppy into something i can be proud of. |
