i'm got a spare front crossmember for my 1600 that i'm gonna reverse this weekend. looking at it, it almost looks symmetrical :?

what needs to be done to reverse it? just cut the middle section out, turn it around and re-weld it?

Ummmm... no!

The only reason you need to touch it when you turn it around is because the lower control arm mounts are tapered. So you need to hole saw them out and then turn them around so when you reverse the x-member the LCA mounts on the same side.

Obviously make sure you get everything perfectly square. If you wanted to you could cut a larger circle out and rotate it when you weld it back in such that the LCA mount is upwards and outwards. Improving camber and moving the roll-centre upwards (?).
