I have a gazelle front end and wish to replace the strut with a 240k strut with bigger brakes, shock setc.

The 'sheer load spacer' (?) on the gazelle is a very large compared to 240k, 200b etc. Does anyone know if a 240k, 200b steering arm will fit a gazelle ball joint and/or will this affect ackerman angles?

I am sure somebody has done this before? Baz? Anyone?

I have no idea if the ball joint will work or not.

However, if you do make it fit, it will effect a number of things. It depends on which arm you use, as to what gets effected (and by how much).

Different steering arms have different lengths. So it may effect steering ratio.

Ackermann angle is likely to change.

Height of the steering rack pick-up is likely to change - so that may effect bump steer.

Have fun!
