My Uncle and I just started playing with different rims for his 260Z.

The less offset the better with say... 6/7 inch rims (no more than +20/+10 offset). We tried 7-8 inch rims too, but it looks like we'll need spacers and/ or guard flaring for fat tyres. Skinny tyres might be alright. Around 0 offset would be preferable for an 8 inch rim.

Long story short: He's a 'bolt-on' man... if it doesn't go straight on, he doesn't want it.

Pretty much anything will work if you're willing to massage guards, fit longer wheel studs, and find thick spacers.

Good luck :)

PS Try organising at a Mag shop a "fitted" price for some rims you like. It's then their job to make them fit within the budget of the quote they gave you. Could save you alot of hassle...

I have just bought four 240/260Z spare wheels for another project.
They are 14 x 5" with a +20mm offset, giving a 92mm backspace.
Thus, if you go wider, to keep the inner edge of the rim at the same place, your + offset will decrease until you get to 0mm for say a 180mm or 7" wide rim
