Took me hours yesterday, of searching through old posts, making a list, checking it twice ect ect to make, specially to work out what cars might be coming with people I added.

Paul, I know you are racing Sunday, I am coming along to service remember, hense why I made the date, just after work on Saturday to give me and others who work 6 days a week, enough time to get here in time so most people can come, wether they are working during the day or not, they won't have to get up Sunday to come to Morley just for a meeting either.

I also thought if I left it another week, the interest might dwindle

is there any way we could trailer unfinished cars to the event?

there's probly 4 or 5 cars that won't be finished, and if we could hire a trailer for the day, we could make the necessary back and forth trips to ensure a good turnout.

I don't think it would be a problem, but we would have to ask around nicely to find someone with something big enought to legally do the towing.
My 1600 wagon on occassions has towed cars
(RX7, falcon pannel van and lots of 1600's)
But it is illegal to tow same or more weight than the car doing the towing.

Maybee sssr20-Grant from G&T restoration might be able to help out, maybee we can get a DATSUN SUPPORT VEHICLE sticker made up for his windscreen and a amber light for the roof aswell for the photo shoot, and add a nice plug for his business in the article.

im so keen to go but my datto will prob not be finished by then,

i'm still waitning for my ally rad to be made, small finishing touches and my bumpers need re chroming, and i will need my sr to be tuned, i dont think the stock microtech tune is any good...

plus shes not lic, and a temp works permit won't really work if i get pulled over...

so i'm unsure if i'd make it, sounds so cool i wanna go.

Timmy, I'll add you to the list, but please edit your last post, with the suberb you live in, we are all nice people , we should be able to organise you a lift to my place and back again for Saturday.

Same for the photoshoot, we will probably need someone to drive a extra car down to the shoot aswell, (that is if your car isn't ready) extra faces in the crowd will also make the shoot better.

well, i hammered on the weekend

the steering is hooked up and working orse.

tailshaft is modified, bolted up and working orse.

thermos and fuel pumps hooked up and working orse.

interior cleaned up and looking orse.

radiator hoses modified and hooked up.

starting the RHS headers tonite.

LHS headers being welded as we speak.

cant make it in the 9th but i will be in perth sunday arvo and monday. i work shift at the power station in collie (two weekends on, two off). is there any chance i could catch up with some one on the 10th or 11th for a report back or something?

about a tow car if you get the trailer i can tow it with my 720. were going to the same place

also just an idea for the shoot i doubt its possible or anyhting but i rekon because there old cars a retro shoot would be schweet like have them all parked outside one of those retro oldschool cafe thingos with the girls on skates but i think thats more 50's n 60's maybe im way out of bounds here

or maybe even a evening shoot
rust n imperfections are less noticable (because i for one have many of those) under a bit of darkness, but then i spose wont see the cars as much

i dunno just an idea or 12

or maybe in a oldish area with the 70's houses in the background

or wat about hills or somthing hella nice paddok or feild with hils in background
