Will have to look into that, Im glad I didnt decide to make my trusses myself, and at the price my guy wanted Im glad to pay. He wanted $200 for each end of the 6m ones and $170 for each of the ones in the guts of it. My back patio will be 18mx6m and then he made me 3 more 5m trusses to extend the carport out front for $150ea. All up I payed him about $2k for all 12 trusses and stratco wanted $1.2k for a single 6m one.

A 10mx6m kits was going to cost me $9.3k and Ive budgeted my entire build with the homemade trusses to $8.2k, would love to slash that further with some auction steel, thanks for the tip.

We're building one at the moment at work. Its about 15x5m, pitched up, but its timber. I think its costing the guy about $5k extra (we're building his whole house for him)

Personally I think timber looks a lot nicer. I should ask the boss what it'd cost for some one else.

Timber is a lot easier to get second hand too....
