sorry to bring up old issues
im beginning to get tired of the suck thru set up, and now that i have a few dollars im rebuilding the setup.....
i read all the searches on the setup but i wonder
can you use the plenum off a efi L 6cyl and just cut and weld it??
can this also be done ith the fuel rail??
i plan on putting in oversized valves, and possibly a cam, do people know if this will have any significant benifit?
i got 110kw out my suck thru, and i am aiming to get around 130-140kw with cooler and 20psi out of my ht18 turbo
i am going to stick with my locked elec dizzy, what computer would be better, mt4 or mt8 and why??
cheers for any help

Yes you can use a cut down L6 manifold. People do this cause they cant find the rare L18 efi manifold. The problem with the cut down L6 manifold is only one type will fit together cleanly once cut down. Not sure which one.

I have 2 L18 efi manifolds in the shed. One with a complete factory loom and computer. I might part with one for the right amount.

dont get me wrong, i still back up carby suck thru as a good cheap option
main problem being during the day the car runs sh*t, especially with the hotter weather, but she runs a treat on cold nights, my solution run a cooler
blow thru is a joke compared to running efi which is probably easier, especially to find someone to tune it
also getting 5km to the litre on PULP hurts the pocket more than an EFI can

5km/L jesus. My L28ET with base maps (ie, no tune at all) got 10km/L.
