I realize that i would have to sell my soul to be able to afford one of these, but if someone were to have say unlimited funds, whereabouts would they start looking to purchase one of these? i can't find any official info on it from OSgiken websites, etc.

also, feel free to discuss anything related to these heads, i'm keen to hear what people think.

Whats to think? I'd sell my first, second and third born for a TG24.

I did hear a rumour (actually was printed in a HowTo datsun book) that you can still get the TG24 from Os Giken new, around USD12000 though.

Not that I can help at all - but are you (deva) talking about the 4 or 6 cylinder version?

woops. didn't mention that.

i WAS talking about the 4 cylinder version. but i'm interested in hearing people talk about both of them.
if OS giken still have the casts... (which they no doubt should?) i guess u could get them to make one up.... (as a cost ofcourse  )

i just think it would be really neat to have a twincam turbo inject L-series, that flogs the crap out of these current jap engines. open your bonnet, and the usual "oohhhh, what's that? an SR or a CA? (and even some of the brighter ones) or a FJ?"

nar mate, it's an old L-series

spend the same money on preparing an L series 4 that you would on a os head, then boost the living daylights out of it. You will then kill an SR or CA, unless its had the same work...

OS head would be great if you were going to stay N/A. But for the costs... its definatly worth spending shitloads on an unbreakable L!

Just my opinion anyway...

Oh and have u seen the OS extractors?

Yeah they are not all that pretty.... thats all, they have to dodge the oil filter so they go forwards before going backwards (I assume thats the reason why)

Yuck.

Note that they changed to putting the exhaust on the passengers side for the later (and greater) L6 version. :D

Zac, that car no longer exists, apparently was built as part of developments for someone-or-other. Looks MEAAAANNNNNN... :hail:

You would think that for the effor you would put a remote filter setup on and have it looking nice under the bonnet.

Rich/Bob,

Its also because thats the side that has the brake/clutch master cylinders, and the steering box, and the clutch slave cylinder, etc etc. Makes no sense to put it there unless it was specifically designed for american 510s?

I can understand the appeal of twin cam L's, such as the OS Giken & LZ, but when the KA twin cam head option is brought up, why is it that no-one seems interested? Seems to me that it's a million times cheaper, and probably a better performer to boot.

Too logical?

We're waiting for you to do it for us beef. I'm interested. Would be even more so if there was a 6 cylinder KA engine. :(
