g'day,
i'm just in the process of sanding back the 1600, grinding off bog etc, and was wondering whats the best stuff to spray on the bare metal? i'm not doing the whole car, just areas i know have bog and are rusty, so will only need a pressure pack.
and is there anything i can spray on the already rusted areas to stop it rusting further...although i do plan to get the bodywork done soon so might not need to treat the rust.
thanks,
dave

you could get away with sprayin wd40 on the sections, it worked for me, but if there gonna be bare for a while a thin coat of primer at least would be good

i used a high fill yellow primer that is supposed to etch aswell! on my whole car.

it has worked so far as no paint has peeled of yet!

i will be redoing my paint and bodywork later this year so i will look forward to see the metal i spayed it on underneath to see its condition.

if it is good i will definately use it again. K&H brand i think?

k&h, motospray (using currently) and powerplus are all good.
Anything with a reasonable name should be fine.

I don't recommend the Septone brand from Supercheap, although the bog was good.
