It's gunna be a long and slow trip...
I recently purchased an almost bog stock 2 owner auto 1600, the only mods being an exhaust, central locking and windscreen wiper speed adj dealy.
It's got the usual rust in the rear qtr's and sill's and the front bumper has been pranged, everything else grill, lights n surrounds dash and what not is IMMACULATE!!!!
so far its got on the shed bench....
- factory EFI setup and t2 manifold
- recurved s2 dizzy
- como VB brakes and vented rotors
- U67 head thats had the valves done and a Crane custom turbo cam with adj timing gear
- L18 with balanced crank (still to get rods and pistons etc)
- surge tank and pumps
- and a custom shelf and boot lining
- TRX rims and rubber
The plans are as cash comes along and in between playing with my other car it's getting it bead blasted rust fixed and sprayed that classic datsun brown. will be getting some whitewalls for the stockies to keep that nice old skool look too.
Converted to manual with either a Z-car box or Stanza dogleg, finding a t25 or t28 and lil cooler, the usual gauges and gimiky shite. also as much hidden wiring and general neatening up of the engine bay. to get it on the road it'll have 200b struts and king springs, then upgraded when funds allow.
so over the next few months expect a barrage of stupid questions from me, I'll put up some pics of the old girl in next few days.
