Hi All

Well Decmeber is is coming up fast... so it's about time for us to start thinking about a Christmas get-together for Ozdat Vic....

Anyone got any suggestions?

Can anyone think of a better place than the spot in Albert Park we usually use?

Dates? Should we have it on a weekend this time??

Cheers
James

Mick,

I'm not really up for a cruise to bendigo to have the bbq. It was a pleasant drive for sure, but not really fast/exciting enough and my car chews through the petrol these days.

I leave just before christmas so if we could make it early/mid december i'd be a happy lad. ;)

Well...
I cant make it the weekend of the 10th of Dec,
BUT, the WE of the 3rd or the WE of the 17th is good (for me anyway).
A Sat. night BBQ sounds the goods to me, tho.

Any idea's?

FWIW at this stage I could prob make 10th, 17th and maybe 3rd (I am anticipating a possible write-off scenario following a work party on 2nd  )

Anyway, I reckon just pick a date ... there is bound to be a few that can't make it no matter whate date you choose. Albert Park eve sounds good.

I'd prefer the 10th.

yeh I realise all of use are into a fast cruise with lots of corners and stuff but I'm sorta leaning towards now good open road crusin with not of hooning and around stuff now..

thats the wayI planned Bendigo and stuff as it is a real easy drive and relaxing with some parts where it is tight but other just crusing along

it is totally up to use the offer is there to have a Xmas break up.

next year I wont be doing much as I wont have a car for most of the year.

if any one wants to have the cruise let me know so I can organise maps and stuff

Evening sounds good to me too - I am available any of those days (3rd, 10th or 17th Dec)
Only problem with Albert Park on a Saturday afternoon/evening is that it will probably be packed out with families etc... could be a bit hard to get parking and find a BBQ....

Not many responses - maybe we should move this to the General forum so more people see it?

Can we set a date for this?

seeing as it's already almost December - I vote for the later date of the 17th... gives us a bit longer to get the word out and to hopefully get a bigger turnout this time round... what you think?

Once we settle on a date we should make it a announcment/sticky on the main forum and also remember to post it to the Ozdat Mailing list....
And let the Boys at Nissco etc all know about it....

James,
I say we just set the date as the 17th.
I think Albert Park is a reasonable area, as its central to everyone.
Unless of corse, someone DOES have better suggestion???
If we can't find a table we'll just picnic...
Time: say 5:00pm?

I'll bring the soft drinks + ice...

Also, would anyone have a problem with inviteing the members from http://www.Viczcar.com ???

17th sounds good to me.
10th looks like a no go, already booked.

Sorry Mick but my car is not an open road cruiser. No sound deadening/roof lining, no stereo, and the sound of twin 45s make it only fun if you are into it.
I am really keen for a cruise of the other variety though. Anyone who is keen PM me and I will let you know when it is on.
It will be fast though, prob through the Spurs (Reefton/Black) so if you are not into pushing hard it is probably not the event for you.
Will most likely be late arvo in the next couple of weeks. Don't expect a lot of notice ;)
Jake

7pm doesn't leave a lot of daylight

Jake - can you maybe let the everyone at Nissco know about it?
Lets see if we can get a few more people along this year...
