Thanks mate, thats original paint :wink:

I had a dilemma with the water galleries that feed the inlet manifold. I bought a different gasket and used a sealent now it doesnt leak :)

At the same time I bolted the 45's on, its still a stock engine but im just waiting for some cash to come through then I can get it the head ported, bigger cam fitted, springs ect. ect.

The jets are slightly too big for the stock cam so to make it driveable I'll put some slightly smaller jets in for the meantime until the top end work begins.

Hey Guys, Havn't been on here for ages so I thought I'd pay a visit to catch up.

The situation at the moment is.... I have made no progress since the last post, I've been busy at school and also am out of work so the Sunny project has been slowed down completely :(

Its still got the Stock L18 which is MAJORLY over carbed.... since I cant get the cash together to get the head done up :cry: So it isn't on the road as of yet... she still needs some bodywork done but then when everything is how i want it... I'll be making a few trips to Adelaide and Melbourne to meet up with some of you guys :D

Ok... the situation with the sunny atm is its on the road! :D

The Head has been match ported & polished to the weber manifold, I bought an electronic dizzy from Baz which has also been fitted.

The webers have been balanced and tuned on the dyno (no power readout unfortunately :( )

New cam specs=

Brand = Crow

Grind No#= 30832

Valve Timing = IN - 37/65
EX - 69/33

Duration = 282

Lift = .498''

:D

Now all it needs is a catch can for the breathers, then im going to fit a H190 disc to disc rear end in (4:64 ratio :twisted: ), then Im going to put in some beefed up stanza struts in with big brakes, then the time will come to start on the bodywork...

I shall post some pics soon.

I got some TRX mags with tyres for a pretty good price from a mate, They're in need of a sandblast & polish... Im going to get that done when the bodywork begins (in a few weeks..)

Heres some pics.

Stanza Struts with lowred springs, and a H190 rear end with 4:64 centre will be bolted in soon... (with a few slight mods to make the diff fit..)

Will post up pics of the progress soon.

when you put the L in did you have to move the resistor and white block over to the other side with the coil to make it work? it may be a dumb question but i have no spark by only extending the coil wires.....

i did that originally when i ordered my top gun leads, and that was cool until i ripped the end off and have found they want to charge me $40 to order one lead! might have to get a normal one but then that kind of defeats the purpose of fatter plug leads....

Yeah I extended the wires for the resistor over and kept it next to the coil. But am now running an electronic dizzy, so no need for the resistor.
