My friends dad is going to be bringing a 1985 datsun 280z turbo t-roof into town to sell it. My friend said he'd sell it to me for 400 dollars but I dont know what it looks like does anyone have any pics? Also is it a good car? Is it a good price?

Thanks for the pics. It's not a parts car but it's not ready to go on the road right away. I would have to restore some rust witch isnt a big deal Ive done it lots before. He said the engine is in pretty good condition it just dosent run so I'd have to pull out the engine and see whats wrong, the turbo is still good too.

If I came across one here in Aus for $400 I would grab it without even thinking about it, I guess it depends on how rare they are where you are etc etc. I say go for it.

Is it a factory turbo or aftermarked setup? either way its a bargin! Even if you did part it out, a few S30(first gen Z) people would pay good money for a working L28ET!

If its factory turbo, that means its an import. We never got turbos

I dont really like the ZX's but for $400 i would grab it! Should be a quick car once its running!

ok well that was photos of the ZX, but as these cars quite common over there, compared to what we have over here anyway

i would say it is still a good buy
