Yeah I want to enter everything :D

the sprints are on the 28TH at QR which is a saturday

Hey do they give you the yellow numbers or are you expected to bring them ?

whats the deal with with gatton ?
Are the sprints just on the saturday ?? is there a web site ? I have never made it out there to check them out .

The numbers at willowbank are given to you on the day and you tape them to your window/door with masking/race tape.

When you sign in the give you a number and thats about it really.

Ok,
i have submitted entry for Gatton, which is 4,5 March this year. limited to 130 entries. i have no email copy but, if you send an email to . . kcpay@kooee.com.au and request an entry they should help.

there was a website but i think it is offline at the moment. Australian all rally group. is the organising club.


are the QR sprints saturday or Sunday ?

The Willowbank sprints are on a saturday! They call them the Saturday afternoon Sprints or SAS for short. Normal kick off around 1 but i got an email that this year they are going to push them back till 2 to give people more time to have lunch etc.

Gatton sounds fun, how much is that to do?

$154 and they promise about 8 runs (weather permitting)

I did Pittsworth last year and it was lots of fun

Yeah not happy, i bet most of the entries are from the same people every year.

Oh well looks like will have to be in touch later this year to try and get in for next year :roll:

I posted an entry off early in December, so fingers crossed i got in. Yes, gatton is 2 days with scrutineering on the friday.

There is also a street sprint meet in Roma (queens bithday in June) and one in Harvey Bay some time in July. Looks like a few of the boys are going up to Roma. I think the local council up there is really getting behind the event, and offering cash prizes (may be a rumour). :?:
Either way the monday after the event is a holiday so the sunday night could be a bit of fun :D then in the morning :cry:

The sprints were fun.
70 degree track temperature wasnt much fun though :shock:
the poor little car would get hot after about 3 laps.

Managed to lose a return sprint of one of the carbs so had to dodgy up some wire to use the one remaining spring for both carbs, plus the oil cap came loose and spread a bit of oil around on the first run.

I managed to pass an rx7 so that was fun.

anyway my best time was 69.something......say 70 seconds.

Sounds like you had fun Jeff, how many runs did you get in? Sorry i couldnt make it hopefully if things are sorted which they better be :roll: i will be there on the 18th of Feb.

they gave us 4 runs, but i missed the second run due to deciding to go and get some oil as it was a bit low after the cap came loose.

sorry guys i didnt get there either. will have to do Feb 18th. was tied up stripping one of the other two 1600's i have.... look out for another orange / silver datto soon.

hope you had fun jeff, guess luke didnt get there either.?
also have spoken to my mate in brisbane about the SR he is going to pull it out for me . . . will keep posted

My promised SR hasn't arrived yet.......I hope it's still a deal :?

I had trouble with the video camera, so this is the only usable video that I got which was my first hot lap. The RX7 that I was following was passed by the old datto on the next lap :wink:
