how do they break up the groups for the race cars ?
(that datsun 1200 was off the pace, running in ?? and the capri was around 1:05 at both meetings)

Luke, do you remember how the points system works ?
our points tally pretty much sucks

I cant figure it out to be honest, they changed the points allocated from the first sprint by the looks of it. Might send them an email asking for an explanation of the points.

The other thing that got me was that radical thing went out first everytime and we got shafted on our laps, as it got 5 timed laps and we only got 4 we mention that aswell.

you can also try emailing redhotshotz@optusnet.com.au and asking them to sent you a couple of samples. their web site is www.redhotshotz.com but they dont put the photos up on their site

Wayne from Osella is cool, I have bought a couple of photos of him in the past with no problems. http://www.osella.com.au/wayne/

I THINK YOU NOW HAVE A PHOTO TO USE AS AN AVATAR ??????

The two of you had a bit of fun it seems, 'note to self - get to the next one'

Good news is that i got an entry for gatton and am looking forward to a week of late nights to get things organised. i got a new diff, 5:1 which should help a bit. especially at Mt Cotton where the old 3:7 was a bit tall.

i Have been in sydney for the past two weeks with work so i missed you guys at QR. Sounds like a good day though.

G'day Alex, yeah mate it was a fun day.

Good to hear you got into gatton :)
Is that this weekend ?

If you have a close ratio box you may not like your 5.1 much.
I know Ken Graham actually went slower when he changed to the 5.1 at Mt Cotton, but he has a close ratio gearbox. He is now looking for a 4.6, the 4.6 are hard to find. But yes when i changed from 3.7 to 4.8 I went a bit quicker at Mt Cotton.

Luke

let me guess, no email back yet from QR ?

Alex, I will be there on the 26th :)
I don't think Luke has a CAMS lisence.
my Octogon says there is a come & try / practise day in May, but it's not on the internet calendar ??

Speaking of SR20's mine turned up last night :)
BUT don't worry mate as it will probably take me 12 months to collect all of the bits and get it in the car

here is my short list of stuff that I need & I am sure that I have missed out lots of things.

throttle body
starter motor
1 spark plug lead
nuts & rubber washers on top of head
extractors / headers
reversed 1600 engine crossmember
engine mounts
throttle cable setup
flywheel
clutch
gearbox
fuel pump

But i have got an sr20de auto box to sell
and eventually I will sell my L16, extractors, twin SU's etc.

cheers Jeff
