Hi there datto lovers.
I have a bit of a problem, my TRX is leaking diff oil (or fluid) on the rear left wheel. I pulled it apart, checked bearing, it's OK. Bearing seal looked OK as well but changed it anyway. I have a feeling that this won't help as it was changed before and it didn't solve the problem. I guess there is no other way for fluid to get out except thoroght that seal, do you know any other way? Sometimes I get resonant humming noise from the back of the car. I've heard the blueys have a common problem of rear half shaft being bent, is this true? What is the most likely source of that noise?

Thanx a lot for tour help!!

Nah mate, I'm sure it's not. I was changing brake pads as well when I was doing bearing seal. I could bearly undo bleeding valves, they were so tight on, and I was checking brake fluid level it hasn't changed a bit. I'll take it for a drive for another couple of days and then wheel off again for inspection. But the damn resonant vibrating noise is still there, I just can't figure out what is it that's causing the problem!!!

Hm well I guess you are right. I had a look at the half shaft on the left hand side, nothing I could notice about bending. I guess that leaves other half shaft, diff, or axle that is running from the gearbox to the diff (what is the correct name for this axle anyway?). If anythig is bent can it be noticed just by looking at it, or some kinda test has to be done?

gearbox to diff = tailshaft
diff centre to wheel = axle
