have a bleed valve on the intercooler piping sized such that it would bleed off say 5psi at 3500rpm, then have a solenoid snap it shut at 4500rpm?
that way you'd still be running 15psi up till 4500rpm, and it wouldn't be an absolute dog.
Guppy, thats exactly what I am suggesting but reusing the BOV as this valve. You would program it to hold the maximum boost before it surged until you had enough volume flow to cope with more. Which is what I'll do with the autronic.

Richard, you know the answer to that question. Depends on powerband requirements mainly. If you like so many people and seem to have little faith in your ability to keep revs up above 2800-3000 on the track (which isn't that hard a task really) then I'd say its too big. GT35Rs have made 530rwhp so it'll meet your power requirements and yet have very nice response IMHO. Go for it.
If you can get to Melbourne in the next month you're welcome to have a drive of mine to get an idea?
