Thought it about time to put a post in the members rides.
First is my 1600 out at the car club going crazy in the dirt/mud.
Next is a S3 TRX I got off Ebay. More to come.

Why can I only count one door handle? DIY 2-door?

Well spotted. Car was originally a rally car that had been rolled over. When welding on a new roof he got carried away with the welder. Car only weighs about 800kg. Will have to wait for full specs but here is what I know (he dosn't give away to many secrets). 1800 30 thou over bore, around 80 thou off head 12.5:1 compression, twin 45 dcoe webbers on straight avgas, full alloy roll cage, alloy fuel cell under flat bottom boot, all bracing in rear doors and bonnet removed, custom works cam, persplex glass except front and driverside windows. When I get some detailed pics I will post then.

Why would you want more than 30 litres in a tank.
More fuel = more weight.
More weight = slower car.

Petrol probably weighs less/more than water but 1 litre of water = 1 kg, add a extra 20 litres of fuel well that is 20 kilo's approximatly.

service might be off-site.

have to drive from service, to stage, race, pit, maybe race again and back to service.

i would want more than 30L for all that.

If it is for a rally car/autochanna car you will loose clearance having a drop tank aswell.

Deffinatly if you wanted more fuel I would keep it in the boot.

Best clearance on a 1600 I ever saw was a dead flat boot section with no sides going down either.
it would go up the steapest rockiest areas and never hit the rear.

Better was you had easy access to the braking on the rear, and the R200 looked really huge with nothing in the way.

All you saw was diff and tyres.
