I'm 95% sure that DDGonzal will know the syncho ring part numbers. He's like the Mr Scott (Think Star trek) of the datsun 1200. The bearings are nothing special, and arent hard to source. If you like Mat, I can Email you a workshop doc for these gearboxes. Just PM me.

Hey Mat........ Monty had the STD pattern 60 series box, but I did rebuild my dogleg 60 and I put that in the wagon. The only parts I had to source was bearings. I am not sure if you can get new synchros. I wont be able to find out until I get back home next week. Yeah I have read acouple of the threads on 1200.com, but since old Monty is getting a cage etc and I have the wagon as well, I thought why the hell not?? Since I can get all the parts very cheap. All up this conversion will cost me under $2000. I am thinking about putting the EFI manifold on the wagon, as the Dellorto's do suck the fuel, but they sound oh so nice. Time will tell on where and what the EFI manifold will end up on.
i rebuilt a 60A about 5 years ago for my coupe, and i managed to scavenge the very last rebuild bits here from nissan usa
i believe the bearings can be gotten from the aftermarket
but i'm mostly interested in sourcing from nz the 2nd/3rd synchros and shift cones
so if the 2nd/3rd gear bits can still be had, please let me know
wayne had promised to search on my behalf, but he's gone the kiwi equivalent of walkabout
i want the tranny sorted when i do the a15 swap toward the end of the year

Ha, Blair you know how you bought that manifold off me? I saw who you got the turbo off from trade me, and it was the turbo that came with my engine. What a coinicidence. Looks like the guy who got it off me just wanted the dump pipe.

Well Back on topic now..............

Spent some time in the shed this weekend and all that is stopping me from putting the CA in the hole is some engine mounts. I hope to have some next week and to finally fit the engine sometime over the next couple of weeks....... Well I hope!!
