Probably go up to Noosa early sunday, not much point in doing slow runs at 3.00 in the arvo on saturday. we do warrick in one day & i reckon noosa is about the same trip time wise.

Another Nissan / Datsun in the big over 2.0 ltr class.
Its going to be fun. 8)

had to happen eventually :?
oil on the track i believe, a few other cars had similar problems

ran it up the bank today, should still be right for noosa if we dont find any surprises when it goes to the suspension guy.
pulled out the radius rod, minor panel damage to door and sill, stuffed tyre & damaged 2 x rims.

Thats bad luck but you did keep the steering straight ahead which should have helped avoid something more serious :|

I was hanging on for grim death, i thought it was going to end up on it's side or lid.
all in all very lucky.
if you look closely in the video you can see the skid marks where the torana went in earlier, i almost follow them like its on railway tracks.
can only assume that i found some of the oil that the vw dumped, i wasnt even on the power.

unlucky mate. can't think of worse conditions than oil on a wet track at that place - those loops are so tight there's no real chance to bring it all back in before hitting the bank. Good to hear the damage isn't too bad though. Looking at the pics, it could have ended up alot worse as you said. Hope you get it all up and running for Noosa.

Damn, bad luck mate. The damage is not too bad I guess and as you said it'll happen eventually.

Are you getting your rims repaired? I'm about to take an Enkie rim to Albion Wheel Repairs and wondering if anyone has used them before.

found out yesterday that the chassis is 10mm shorter on the drivers side now :?
its booked in to get pulled out next week, so shouldnt be too much of a drama hopefully.

rims hopefully wont need repairing, its no show pony, so as long as they can be balanced I will live with them.
Candellan, i haven't had rims repaired before, so cant help i'm afraid. that being said there is a place in moss st that does re-drills & reseating, so i assume that they can repair them as well ??

in theory i should be good for Noosa
might have to mix and match some tyres, but i can live with that.
hoping to have new rotors for noosa as well, but they may not arrive in time.
