Hey guys

Long time reader, first time poster. I spend most of my time on www.910bluebird.com, but thought i'd sign up here and share some photos of my Bluebird.

I have had the motor in since January, and it made 180rwkw on 16psi so i'm happy with that! Mods include:

CA18DET
-Arias Forged pistons.
-ARP head stud kit.
-Genuine Nissan gasket kit throughout.
-Stainless exhaust manifold.
-T25G with ball bearing core.
-Stainless Dump pipe.
-Microtech LT-10s.
-Standard 5 speed with button clutch.
-10 bolt H190 Locker.
-FMIC
-3" Exhaust

Even though its bouncy and loud, I love driving it, and it cops a hiding

The latest pics here (furthest to the bottom) show the car before it came off the road in July, its now running a Tial 38mm Wastegate, big screamer pipe, Turbosmart E-Boost and bigger turbo, and the interior has been changed around a bit, gauges remounted in a neater spot and steering wheel has been painted and Datsun centre cap added. Will post pics of this once complete :)

Enjoy! (56K warning - heaps of pics!)

When I first bought it:

18.28 @ 71mph :D

This was taken just before I pulled the motor out:

What it looked like before I put Simmons on it: I still love these photos with the 4 stud chasers fitted, looks tough

First time out - Low 14s with the standard CA20 clutch slipping in every gear! Still did burnouts no problem :D Changed to the button clutch, and best time to date is 13.72 @ 108mph with the worst condition gearbox i've ever driven with!! This is also being rebuilt as you read this.

So I decided to give Powercruise a go, BEST EVENT EVER, I recommend it to anyone who loves to punish thier car! :D Most of these photos were taken with the car in 3rd :O Go the CA!

Then I gave Supernats a go, first burnout comp ive been in (well legal one anyway!), turns out I won the 4 cylinder class! I do admit, there was only 2 other cars in the comp, but hey, a win is a win.

That was a home made water spray system I was using! It starts with a 20 Litre drum on the passenger floor, to a VL Turbo fuel pump, which pumps to the radiator through the firewall using some Bunnings irrigation hose, to 3 T-pieced hoses with Sprinkler jets on them! It worked great, I was out there for just over a minute on the limiter, and the temp gaure read 180 deg farenhiet after it all. Normal day driving to work it reaches 150, so it worked VERY well :) Nothing $20 and a shitload of cable ties cant do!

Heres the video of Supernats:
http://www.realper4mance.com/jet85b_supernats2006.mpg

I had a side pipe made that had no mufflers, just stuck out in front of the wheel, added a bit of hype to the run :D

Ah sorry mate, still impressive!! Good to hear it's going well!

Thanks for the comments guys. Just an update, I sent the manifold to Specialised Power Porting last week to be De-dagged, came back awesome! All the runners and the collecter are smooth as! Need to send it to the ceramic coaters now.

Motor is coming out tonight just for inspection (seeing I get my license back October 1), and ill change rod/main bearings while its out, and pull the head off to check the head gasket, rather be safe than sorry :)

Just a quick update, pulled the motor down and found the harmonic balancer was loose, and the keyway has come out of the crank! Timing gear is also flogged out. Bearings aren't too bad, but i'll be replacing them anyway. Heres a few pics of my exhaust manifold and screamer pipe that I've just had ceramic coated, and the updated interior.
