ahh it's all been welded up already dude - no worries there!

all the joins and any accompanying gaps have just been welded together. i'm not too fussy about it or the looks - as long as it works well, function over form here.

oh!

cost has gonoe up as well.

the 180? mandrel bends for the inlet were $15 each (4x), but had a ton of spare tube at the ends (the top bit is all one piece!!) so the bellmouths are being made this week.

so the total is now $720.

need to get that injector dude out to clean, test and flow all four, so expecting to pip $800 real soon.

oh good good..

just from the angle of the photos it looked as if it would be impossibl to get the head bolts back in..

keep up the good work..

you have probably already mentioned this but how much power are you expecting from this setup??
and how much do the 120Y coupes weigh??

you spanner!

the manifold will bolt up once the head is attached, so thats fine and the clearance for the bonnet is probably goingot need some work but otherwise it's getting exciting!

Looks good, in a home-made sort of way

Since I'll be building my own manifolds at some point, I've got a few questions.

Why such a long inlet tract ? Is the length for performance reasons, or simply to make it all fit ?

You don't see any pro's or con's with having the injectors so far back in the inlet tract ?

it's a bit of a compromise setup.

the long runners are for better low down torque - but note the diameter is bigger than the inlet ports.

if the injector placement becomes an issue, we can always move them. the're just FJ20 style injectors, so having a boss made to fit should be easy if it ever comes to it.
