Some of you might remember the old blokes 1600 that has been slowly been restored with the help of me.

He is a Perth member by defult, he recons he is too old to get a computer :P

He is 65 years old and this car has great sentimental value to him, it was his Aunties, then his Mothers then it was left to him.
He really didn't want to replece it, but had been very nastilly Yellow stickered by the police.
It took over 15 goes to get it over the pits.
They were soo picky.
Every rubber bush tie rod, anything that they wanted replaced was replaced.

Well time to update how things have been coming along.

He finally let me get some photo's of its progress.

It has been fully pannel and painted.
Engine has been rebuilt.
Auto has been rebuilt.
Weather shields are brand new aswell. (Go retro)
All new rubbers have been fitted.
He just has a Recaro drivers seat fitted.
It has been pore15 ed (spelling)
New bumpers front and rear were fitted.
All dents were panneled and all rust was fully cut out and new metal replacements were made.

Before pics.

More pics to see aswell.

So far I think this would be the most expensive stock auto ever built, insurance company has reciepts for over $30,000
He keeps going and getting things done the EXPENSIVE way

Anyhow there are too many photo's to load onto here, just skip through the links to find where the rest of them are loaded.
Enjoy.

P.S he had new carpets fitted, he lives in flats and can't get power to the car to vacume, so he removed them AGAIN and he used this little dustpan and brush DAILY to clean the interior.

He finds it hard to remember there is a large lump he has to get over when he gets in.
He gave himself some pain the other day  one leg in and the other not, sat right on it.

He will get used to it I guess.

I just worked out we havn't fitted the BW full automatic badge to it yet.

I wonder where his chrome number plate frame ended up :?:
